What should I do if I miss my weekly Zepbound vials dose?
Short answer
Follow your prescribing physician’s directions and the Zepbound vials label for missed doses. The label says to take a missed dose within four days, or 96 hours. After that, skip it and resume your usual schedule. Do not take two doses within three days, or 72 hours, of each other.
If you miss a Zepbound vials dose, check how much time has passed since your scheduled injection. Follow your prescribing physician’s instructions and the missed-dose directions on your medication label. Do not take an extra dose to make up for a missed one.
The label allows you to take the missed dose within four days, or 96 hours, after it was due. If more than four days have passed, skip that dose. Take your next dose on your regularly scheduled day. Keep at least three days, or 72 hours, between any two doses. This spacing also applies when changing your weekly injection day.
If you have missed several doses, contact your prescriber before restarting. Your previous dose may not be the right dose after a longer break. Do not restart at a higher strength or try to catch up with multiple injections.
If you are unsure whether you already injected, ask your pharmacist or prescriber before taking another dose. A weekly reminder or injection log may help you track doses.
