Editorial policy.
Our health content exists to help you understand your options and have a better conversation with a licensed provider. It is not a substitute for medical advice.
How content is written
The Verra clinical team writes in plain language, starting with a short answer and key takeaways. We rely on major sources such as FDA drug labels, NIH and MedlinePlus, specialty societies like the AASM and ADA, and peer-reviewed research, listed at the bottom of each page.
Medical review
Each page moves from draft to in medical review to published. A page shows Medically reviewed by a named clinician only after a real, licensed reviewer has checked it and the review date is recorded. Until then it reads Written by the Verra clinical team.
What we will not do
We do not make cure claims, promise results, invent reviews or ratings, or describe compounded medications as FDA-approved or as generic versions of brand drugs. Results vary.
Updates
Pages show a Last updated date and, once reviewed, a Last reviewed date. We revisit content when guidelines, labels or our treatments change.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact our team through your patient portal or the support address on our site and we will review it promptly.
