Practice ordering questions

How can a practice verify its NPI before ordering through Verra Health?

Ask Verra Health which NPI and license records are needed before your practice submits an order. An NPI identifies a provider or organization, but it does not prove prescribing authority. Verra must confirm its current verification process, including whether it supports practice accounts and organizational NPIs.

Can providers order office-use stock, or must Verra prescriptions be patient-specific?

Do not assume Verra Health offers office-use stock. Verra's compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient and are not FDA-approved. Ask Verra whether any separate practice-ordering option exists. A patient-specific prescription should not be treated as general inventory for use across multiple patients.

Are there minimum order quantities for practices using Verra Health?

Verra Health's practice order minimums are not confirmed here. Ask whether practice ordering is supported and whether any minimum applies to a specific medication or shipment. Do not assume bulk discounts or combine patient prescriptions to meet a minimum. The current medication price is shown on the treatment page.

Can Verra Health ship a patient's medication to our practice address?

Shipping to a practice address must be confirmed with Verra Health and the dispensing pharmacy before an order is placed. Verra's standard model ships medication to the patient. Do not assume office delivery is allowed, even if the practice plans to give the medication directly to that patient.

How can our practice request a certificate of analysis for a Verra medication?

Ask Verra Health or the dispensing pharmacy whether a certificate of analysis is available for the specific medication or ingredient lot. Do not assume every prescription has a finished-product certificate. A certificate describes certain testing; it does not make a compounded medication FDA-approved or guarantee safety for every patient.

How should our practice handle beyond-use dates on Verra compounded prescriptions?

Follow the beyond-use date and storage instructions on the pharmacy label. A beyond-use date limits when a compounded medication may be used under specified conditions; it is not a promise of safety after poor storage. Ask the dispensing pharmacist about unclear dates, opened containers, or any temperature concerns before use.

Does Verra Health offer Net-30 payment terms for practice orders?

Net-30 terms are not confirmed for Verra Health practice orders. Ask whether practice billing is available and whether an approved account can pay by invoice. Do not assume a purchase order creates credit terms. Medication is only charged after a physician approves, and the current price is shown on the treatment page.

When would a prescriber need DEA registration for ordering through Verra Health?

DEA registration generally applies when a clinician prescribes controlled substances, not every prescription medication. Whether it is required depends on the drug and applicable rules. Do not assume Verra Health offers controlled substances. Ask which prescriber credentials are required and whether the requested medication is available through the service.

Can we add office staff to a Verra Health practice ordering account?

Staff access and practice account features must be confirmed with Verra Health. Ask whether separate staff logins and role-based permissions are supported. Do not share a prescriber's password or credentials. Administrative staff should only perform authorized tasks, and adding staff does not give them authority to prescribe medication.

How can providers request an addition to Verra Health's medication formulary?

Ask Verra Health how to submit a provider request for a medication not currently listed. A formulary request is a suggestion, not a prescription or a promise of availability. Include the clinical need and requested formulation, but avoid sending patient-identifying details until Verra confirms a suitable channel.
