Weight loss · FAQ
How do I switch from another weight-loss treatment to Zepbound vials?
Short answer
A licensed physician in your state must review your current treatment before you switch to Zepbound vials. There is no simple dose conversion from another weight-loss medicine. Follow the new prescription and label. Do not overlap Zepbound with another tirzepatide product or a GLP-1 medicine on your own.
Switching to Zepbound vials requires a review by a licensed physician in your state. Share the name of your current medicine, its dose, the date of your last dose, and any side effects. Include treatments received from other clinics or pharmacies, even if you have already stopped them.
There is no simple milligram-for-milligram conversion from a different weight-loss medicine to Zepbound. Prior use of another treatment does not mean you should begin at a higher Zepbound dose. Your physician will choose the starting dose and timing based on the label, your medical history, and your recent treatment.
Zepbound should not be used with another tirzepatide product or a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Do not overlap injections, use leftover doses, or make your own transition schedule. Ask your pharmacist to confirm which medication you should use and when.
Your response and side effects may differ after a switch. Results vary. Arrange follow-up so your physician can check how you are doing and make any needed changes safely.
