Can we add office staff to a Verra Health practice ordering account?
Short answer
Staff access and practice account features must be confirmed with Verra Health. Ask whether separate staff logins and role-based permissions are supported. Do not share a prescriber's password or credentials. Administrative staff should only perform authorized tasks, and adding staff does not give them authority to prescribe medication.
Ask Verra whether practice accounts support more than one user before giving staff access. A staff invitation feature, account administrator role, or approval workflow is not confirmed here. Do not assume a patient account can be used as a shared practice account.
If staff access is available, ask for separate logins and permissions limited to each person's work. Clarify who can view patient information, enter administrative details, see billing records, or submit requests for clinician review. Entering information is different from making a prescribing decision. A licensed physician in the patient's state, or a dentist for dental care, decides whether treatment is appropriate.
Never share a prescriber's password or use their identity to approve an order. Ask how staff access is removed when a person leaves or changes roles. Also confirm whether the account keeps a record of user activity and who should be contacted about suspected unauthorized access. Share patient information only through approved channels and only with staff who need it for their work.
