Sleep · FAQ
What if I miss my planned night with the Home sleep test?
Short answer
There is no missed dose with the Home sleep test because it is not a medicine. If you miss your planned test night, check the device label and contact your care team about rescheduling. Follow your prescribing physician’s directions, especially if you already activated the disposable device or started recording.
Missing your planned test night is not the same as missing a medicine dose. Do not try to make up for it by using the device for extra nights or changing your medicines. Follow your prescribing physician’s directions and the device label for the testing schedule.
If you have not opened or activated the device, check the instructions for any use-by date or timing limits. Ask your care team whether you can use it on another night. If you already activated it, do not assume it can be restarted. A disposable device may have limits on recording time or reuse, depending on the model.
If you wore it but slept very little, lost a sensor, or saw an error, explain what happened when you contact the care team. Do not discard the device until you have checked the instructions. Your physician will decide whether the available recording is enough or another study is needed. Ask about any replacement charges before ordering another device.
