Sleep · FAQ
How long does it take to get results from the Home sleep test?
Short answer
The Home sleep test records one night of sleep, but your report is not necessarily ready the next morning. Timing depends on successful data submission and clinical review. Ask your care team for the current turnaround estimate. Results vary. An incomplete or unclear recording may require more testing before a diagnosis.
The one-night schedule describes how long you wear the device, not how quickly you receive a report. After testing, follow the supplied instructions to submit the recording. The data must then be checked and reviewed. Ask your care team when to expect a report and how you will receive it.
Results vary. A recording may show signs of obstructive sleep apnea, be unclear, or fail to explain your symptoms. A home test does not rule out every sleep disorder. If the result is negative or incomplete but sleep apnea is still suspected, your physician may recommend an in-person sleep study.
Your physician should explain what the findings mean alongside your symptoms and health history. Do not start, stop, or adjust sleep treatment based only on a device display or an automated message. Contact the care team if you have not received an update within their estimated time. While waiting, avoid driving if you feel sleepy enough that you could doze off.
