What should I do if I miss a Glutathione injection?
Short answer
If you miss a Glutathione dose, follow the missed-dose instructions on your prescription label or contact your prescribing physician or pharmacist. Do not double a dose or take extra injections to catch up. The next step depends on your prescribed schedule and how long ago you missed it.
Check your prescription label and the written instructions from your prescribing physician first. If they do not explain what to do after a missed Glutathione dose, ask your physician or pharmacist before taking it. There is no single catch-up schedule that fits every compounded prescription.
Tell them when your last injection was, when the missed dose was due, and when your next dose is planned. They can advise whether to take the missed dose or wait. Do not inject twice as much, add an extra injection, or move doses closer together without approval.
If you missed a dose because you felt unwell or had a reaction, explain those symptoms before restarting. The reason for the missed dose may affect the advice you receive.
A calendar or reminder can help you follow the schedule once it is confirmed. If you often miss injections, discuss whether the treatment plan fits your routine. Also check the vial’s beyond-use date; missed doses do not extend how long it can be used.
