How should I store my Glutathione 200 mg/mL vial?
Short answer
Store your Glutathione vial exactly as the pharmacy label directs. Storage needs and beyond-use dates depend on the compounded formula, so do not assume it needs refrigeration or can stay at room temperature. Ask the pharmacy what to do after opening the vial or after a temperature change.
The dispensing pharmacy’s label is the main guide for storing your Glutathione injection. Follow its directions for temperature, light protection, and handling. Storage rules can differ between compounded formulas, even when they have the same listed strength. Do not freeze the vial unless the pharmacy specifically instructs you to do so.
Check the beyond-use date before every injection. Also ask whether the vial has a separate discard date after its first needle puncture. Write down the first-use date if the pharmacy directs you to track it. Never keep using the vial past the applicable discard date.
Keep the medication and injection supplies out of reach of children and pets. Do not use liquid that has unexpected particles, cloudiness, or a color change without checking with the pharmacy.
If a shipment arrives warm, frozen, leaking, or damaged, set it aside and contact the pharmacy before use. Describe how it arrived and how long it may have been outside its labeled storage range. Appearance alone cannot confirm that it is safe.
