What should I do if I miss a daily dose of Rosacea cream?
Short answer
Follow the missed-dose instructions on your Rosacea cream label or from your prescribing physician. In general, apply it when you remember unless it is nearly time for the next dose. If so, skip the missed dose. Do not apply extra cream or double the next dose to catch up.
Your prescribing physician’s directions and the pharmacy label are the first place to check for missed-dose advice. In general, use a missed application when you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled application, skip the missed one and return to your usual schedule. Do not put on two doses together or use a thicker layer.
If you are not sure whether it is too close to the next dose, ask your pharmacist. They can give advice based on your specific compounded formula and label. Do not change to more frequent use without checking with your physician.
A reminder on your phone or linking treatment to a regular part of your day may help you remember. Keep the cream stored as directed, rather than leaving it somewhere hot or within reach of children. If you often miss doses because the cream burns, feels uncomfortable, or does not fit your routine, tell your physician. They can review whether your treatment plan needs a change.
