How should I apply Rosacea cream as part of my skin care routine?
Short answer
Apply Rosacea cream to clean, dry skin in a thin layer, following your prescribing physician’s directions and the pharmacy label. Typical use is once daily. Keep it away from your eyes, lips, and inside your nose or mouth. Wash your hands after use, and avoid harsh skin care products.
Use Rosacea cream only on the skin areas your physician tells you to treat. Gently wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Apply a thin layer according to your prescription label. Typical use is once daily, but your prescribing physician’s directions take priority. Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure how much to use.
Avoid your eyes, eyelids, lips, and the inside of your nose or mouth. Do not apply it to broken skin unless your physician tells you to. Wash your hands after applying it. If cream gets into your eyes, rinse well with water. Seek care if pain or irritation continues.
Keep your routine gentle. Scrubs, strong acids, and products that sting can add irritation. Ask your physician how to fit moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup, and other skin treatments around your prescription. Let the cream dry before layering other products unless your label says otherwise. Do not mix it with other products in your hand before applying.
