How should I store my NAD+ injection vial?
Short answer
Store NAD+ injection exactly as the dispensing pharmacy’s label directs. Storage temperature, light protection, and the discard date can depend on the preparation. Do not assume it needs refrigeration or freezing. If instructions are missing or the vial was exposed to the wrong temperature, ask the pharmacy before using it.
The dispensing pharmacy’s label is your guide to storing NAD+ injection. Compounded preparations can have different storage requirements. Follow the stated temperature range, any light-protection instructions, and the beyond-use date. This date tells you when the preparation must no longer be used.
Ask whether there is a separate discard deadline after the vial is first punctured. Write down the first-use date if the pharmacy tells you to do so. Do not keep using the vial past the applicable deadline, even if medication remains or looks normal.
Keep the medication and injection supplies out of reach of children and pets. Do not freeze, refrigerate, or transfer the medication to another container unless the pharmacy directs you to. Before travel, ask the pharmacy how to maintain the required storage conditions.
If the package arrives warm, frozen, damaged, or with a leak, contact the dispensing pharmacy before injecting. Describe how long it may have been outside its required temperature range. Normal appearance alone cannot confirm that a medication is safe to use.
