Sleep · FAQ
Who may qualify for Verra's sleep testing and treatment programs?
Short answer
Eligibility depends on your symptoms, health history, and the type of sleep care you need. A licensed physician in your state decides whether testing, Auto-CPAP, or insomnia care is appropriate. A licensed dentist decides whether oral appliance therapy is suitable. An online assessment does not guarantee treatment.
Sleep care starts with understanding your symptoms, not choosing a product first. Tell your clinician about snoring, breathing pauses, daytime sleepiness, trouble falling asleep, and waking during the night. Share how long these problems have lasted and how they affect your daily life. Your age, health conditions, medicines, and past sleep care also matter.
A home sleep test may be appropriate for some adults with signs of obstructive sleep apnea. It is not the right test for every sleep problem. Some people need an in-lab sleep study or an in-person exam instead. A home test does not replace a full review of ongoing insomnia.
A licensed physician in your state decides whether medical treatment is appropriate. A licensed dentist in your state decides whether an oral appliance is suitable after reviewing your dental health. Ask Verra about any program-specific age limits before booking. If sleepiness makes driving unsafe, avoid driving and seek prompt medical advice.
