What is the nightly dose or wear schedule for Oral appliance therapy?
Short answer
Oral appliance therapy does not have a drug dose. The usual direction is to wear the custom device nightly as fitted by your Dentulu dentist. Follow your prescribing physician’s directions and the device label. Your dentist should guide the fit and any changes to how far the device moves your jaw.
Oral appliance therapy uses a custom mandibular advancement device, not a medicine. There is no pill strength or drug dose to measure. The usual direction is to wear it nightly as fitted by your Dentulu dentist. Follow your prescribing physician’s instructions and the device label for your personal wear schedule.
A licensed physician or dentist in your state decides whether this treatment is appropriate. Your dentist checks how the device fits and sets how far it holds your lower jaw forward. Do not turn adjustment screws or change the setting unless your dentist has taught you how and told you when to do it.
If your label and visit instructions seem different, ask your care team before making a change. Report jaw pain, tooth pain, or trouble getting the device into place. Your team may need to review the fit. Keep planned dental and sleep follow-up visits, even if the device feels comfortable. Comfort alone does not show whether your sleep apnea is controlled.
