Valacyclovir can cause headache, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, or diarrhea. Serious reactions can include kidney problems, confusion, or an allergic reaction. Get emergency help for trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat. Contact a clinician promptly for much less urine, new confusion, or a severe rash.
