What side effects can Lash growth serum with bimatoprost cause?
Short answer
Lash growth serum can cause itchy or red eyes, dryness, irritation, and darker eyelid skin. Less common concerns include changes around the eye and darker iris color, which may be permanent. Stop use and seek prompt medical advice for eye pain, vision changes, or signs of an eye infection.
Bimatoprost can cause eye redness, itching, dryness, or irritation. The skin along the eyelid may darken. Hair may also grow on nearby skin that repeatedly comes into contact with the serum. Blot away excess product and use only the amount your physician and label direct.
More serious concerns include a change in iris color, the colored part of the eye. This darkening may be permanent. Changes in the tissues around the eye, including a more sunken appearance or a deeper eyelid crease, have also been reported. Tell your physician if you notice changes in eye color, eyelid shape, or appearance.
Stop using the serum and get prompt medical advice for eye pain, vision changes, marked swelling, discharge, or suspected infection. Seek emergency help for trouble breathing or severe facial swelling.
Before treatment, discuss eye disease, past eye surgery, and any current eye symptoms. Do not keep applying the serum through new or worsening symptoms without medical advice.
