Verra vs in-person care: Can I use both instead of choosing just one?
Short answer
Yes. You can use Verra for appropriate remote care while keeping an in-person clinician for exams, preventive care, procedures, or complex needs. Tell each clinician about your medications and treatment plans. Verra does not replace all primary or specialty care, and its providers refer you in person when needed.
You do not have to treat online and in-person care as an either-or choice. Verra may fit a specific health need that can be reviewed remotely. A local primary care clinician or specialist can provide exams, preventive services, procedures, and other care that requires an office setting.
Keep each clinician informed about care you receive elsewhere. Share your current medication list, including nonprescription products and supplements, and mention any recent treatment changes. Do not assume separate offices automatically have access to the same records. Ask each office how to share useful visit information through its accepted process.
A physician licensed in your state decides whether treatment through Verra is appropriate. Verra providers refer you for in-person care when needed. Using both approaches does not mean you should receive the same service twice. Instead, be clear about who is handling each part of your care and whom to contact with questions. That includes knowing where to arrange any recommended follow-up exams or tests.
