How should I store my Sildenafil 50 mg tablets?
Short answer
Store Sildenafil in its labeled container, tightly closed, at room temperature unless the pharmacy label says otherwise. Keep it away from excess heat, moisture, children, and pets. Follow the expiration or beyond-use date on your label, and ask the pharmacy before using tablets that look damaged or were stored improperly.
Keep your sildenafil tablets in the container supplied by the pharmacy, with the lid tightly closed. Follow the storage instructions on the label. Unless the label gives other directions, store them at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture. A bathroom or a hot car is not a good storage place.
Keep the container out of sight and reach of children and pets. A locked storage space is a safer choice if others could access it. Do not share your prescription with anyone, even if they have similar symptoms.
Check the expiration date or beyond-use date before use. If your medicine is compounded, it is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient and is not FDA-approved. Follow the pharmacy’s specific storage and beyond-use instructions for that product.
Ask the dispensing pharmacy what to do if tablets become wet, change appearance, or arrive damaged. Do not assume they are safe to use. For unwanted or outdated tablets, ask a pharmacist about a medicine take-back program or safe disposal instructions.
