Sleep · FAQ
How is my personal information handled during sleep care?
Short answer
Your sleep assessment involves sharing health and contact information needed for care. Review Verra's current privacy notice for details about how information is used and shared. Ask how records reach your physician, dentist, pharmacy, or device provider. Do not assume telehealth visits or shipped orders are anonymous.
Sleep care may require sensitive information, including your health history, medicines, test results, and contact details. Depending on the service, a physician, dentist, pharmacy, testing service, or equipment provider may need information to complete your care. Verra's current privacy notice is the place to check its stated practices and your rights.
Before submitting information, ask how records are shared, how you can request access, and whom to contact with a privacy concern. If you use an Auto-CPAP device that sends treatment data, ask who can view that data and how it is used. Do not assume every device or service uses the same data settings.
Use a private location for video visits and avoid shared devices when possible. Keep account passwords secure. If you have concerns about messages, package labels, or delivery to a shared address, ask the care team what options are available before ordering. Do not assume discreet packaging, specific security features, or a particular communication method unless confirmed.
