How do I switch from another erectile dysfunction treatment to Daily Tadalafil?
Short answer
Ask your prescribing physician for a switching plan before starting Daily Tadalafil. The right timing depends on your current treatment, last dose, health, and other medicines. Do not overlap it with sildenafil, as-needed tadalafil, or another erectile dysfunction treatment unless your physician specifically directs you to do so.
A licensed physician in your state must decide whether switching to Daily Tadalafil is appropriate. Tell them the name and strength of your current treatment, how often you use it, and when you last took or used it. Include tablets, injections, and any nonprescription sexual health products.
Do not start a daily tablet while continuing your old treatment unless your physician gives clear instructions. Sildenafil, as-needed tadalafil, and other erectile dysfunction medicines may still be active after you take them. Overlapping treatments can raise the risk of low blood pressure, dizziness, and a prolonged erection. There is no single switching schedule that is safe for everyone.
Your physician will consider your kidney and liver health, heart history, blood pressure, and other medicines before setting a start date and dose. Follow that plan and your new prescription label. Discuss what you liked or disliked about your previous treatment. Daily dosing may suit some routines, but it is not guaranteed to work better. Results vary.
