Which medicines or substances can interact with Daily Tadalafil?
Short answer
Daily Tadalafil must not be combined with nitrates, including nitroglycerin, or recreational nitrites called poppers. It also must not be used with riociguat. Other medicines, heavy alcohol use, and grapefruit may cause problems. Give your physician and pharmacist a complete list of prescriptions, supplements, and recreational substances before starting treatment.
Do not take Daily Tadalafil with nitrate medicines, such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, or with recreational nitrites known as poppers. These combinations can cause dangerously low blood pressure. Tadalafil must also not be used with riociguat, a medicine used for certain types of high blood pressure in the lungs.
Other medicines may need closer review. These include alpha blockers, blood pressure medicines, certain antifungals, some antibiotics, HIV medicines, and seizure medicines. Some can change tadalafil levels or add to its blood pressure effects. Do not combine tadalafil with sildenafil, another tadalafil product, or other erectile dysfunction treatments unless your prescribing physician gives specific instructions.
Heavy alcohol use can increase dizziness and low blood pressure. Grapefruit may also affect tadalafil levels. Share all prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, vitamins, herbs, and recreational substances with your physician and pharmacist. Check before starting any new medicine. If you need emergency care, tell the team when you last took tadalafil, especially if you have chest pain.
