How do I collect and return the TRU-1 GLP-1 response test sample?
Short answer
Use the TRU-1 GLP-1 response test kit to swab the inside of your cheek, then package and mail the sample as directed. Follow the kit label and your prescribing physician’s instructions. Check the kit for any rules about eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth before collection.
The TRU-1 GLP-1 response test uses an at-home cheek swab. Read all kit instructions before opening the collection supplies. Check for any preparation steps, including whether you need to avoid food, drinks, smoking, or brushing your teeth for a stated period. Do not guess at a waiting time if the label is unclear.
Wash your hands and keep the swab tip from touching your fingers or other surfaces. Swab the inside of your cheek using the method and timing on the kit label. Follow your prescribing physician’s directions as well. Do not add extra collection steps or use supplies from another test.
Complete any required sample labels or forms. Place the sample in the provided container and return packaging as instructed, then mail it back using the kit’s directions. Check whether the instructions set a return deadline. If you drop the swab, damage the container, or have trouble collecting the sample, ask for guidance before sending it. Do not assume that a damaged sample can be processed.
