Weight loss · FAQ
Can I switch from another weight treatment to the GLP-1 microdosing plan?
Short answer
A licensed physician in your state must decide whether switching to the GLP-1 microdosing plan is appropriate. Share your current treatment, dose, last dose date, and any side effects. Do not overlap treatments or convert doses yourself. Your new prescription label and prescriber’s instructions must guide the switch.
Switching to the GLP-1 microdosing plan requires a review by a licensed physician in your state. Approval is not automatic, even if you already take a GLP-1 medicine. The physician will consider your current treatment, health history, weight goals, and reasons for changing.
Provide the exact medication name, concentration, dose, dosing schedule, and date of your last dose. A photo of your current prescription label may help clarify these details. Also share any nausea, vomiting, constipation, low blood sugar, or other problems you have had during treatment.
There is no universal dose conversion between GLP-1 medicines or between different concentrations. Do not use the same syringe marking from your old prescription without confirming it matches the new label. Do not overlap treatments or use leftover medication to bridge a gap unless your prescriber specifically directs you to do so.
Your physician will set any needed gap, starting dose, and follow-up schedule. A low-dose maintenance plan may not fit your needs. If a compounded medicine is prescribed, it is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient and is not FDA-approved.
