What side effects can occur with the GLP-1 microdosing plan?
Short answer
The GLP-1 microdosing plan may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or stomach pain, depending on the medication. A low dose does not remove the risk of serious side effects. Seek urgent care for severe or lasting stomach pain, and call 911 for trouble breathing or swelling of the throat.
Side effects depend on the exact medicine prescribed for your GLP-1 microdosing plan. Common effects of many GLP-1 medicines include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach discomfort. A lower dose does not guarantee fewer side effects or make treatment risk-free. Tell your prescriber about symptoms that persist or interfere with eating and drinking.
Some symptoms need prompt medical care. Severe or lasting stomach pain, especially with vomiting or pain spreading to the back, can signal a serious problem. Repeated vomiting, very little urine, or marked dizziness may be signs of dehydration. Get urgent medical advice rather than waiting for a routine message reply.
Call 911 for trouble breathing, throat or tongue swelling, or fainting with signs of an allergic reaction. Low blood sugar is another concern when some GLP-1 medicines are used with insulin or certain diabetes drugs.
Review the medication’s full warnings with your physician. Share any history of pancreas, gallbladder, kidney, or severe stomach problems. Some GLP-1 medicines also have important thyroid tumor warnings and should not be used by certain patients.
