At-home labs · FAQ
Can I switch from another treatment or lab test to the Hormone panel?
Short answer
The Hormone panel cannot replace a treatment because it is a lab test, not a medicine. If you want to use it instead of another hormone test, share your prior orders and reports. A licensed physician in your state decides whether this panel meets your testing needs.
A hormone test and a hormone treatment have different roles. The Hormone panel measures selected markers. It does not treat low testosterone, menopause symptoms, fertility concerns, or another health condition. Do not stop an existing treatment because you ordered this panel.
If you want to change where you get testing, share your prior reports, the reason for testing, and your current care plan. Include the dates and collection times of earlier samples when available. Different labs may use different methods, units, and reference ranges, so numbers from separate reports may not be directly comparable.
A licensed physician in your state will decide whether this panel is appropriate or whether another test is needed. The men’s or women’s option should not be chosen by name alone; confirm the exact markers on your order. If another clinician manages your hormone treatment, coordinate testing with them. Avoid duplicate testing or changing your medicine schedule without clear instructions from the clinician responsible for your care.
