General · FAQ
Will I be charged if a physician does not approve medication?
Short answer
You will not be charged for medication unless a physician approves it. The visit fee is still non-refundable because it covers the medical review, not a guaranteed prescription. If a physician does not approve treatment, ask about the reason and whether another type of evaluation is needed.
Medication is charged only after a physician approves it. If the physician does not approve medication, there is no medication charge. Paying for a visit gives you a medical review; it does not purchase a prescription or guarantee that a requested treatment will be offered.
The visit fee is non-refundable. An online visit costs $99, and a video visit costs $149. The visit fee is credited toward a first medication order placed within 30 days. That credit is not a refund if no medication order is placed.
Online visits are included for members. Membership is separate from approval for a particular treatment. If you have questions about a membership charge after a treatment is not approved, review the membership terms and contact Verra.
A physician may need more information or may decide that online treatment is not the right fit. Ask for clarification about the decision and any recommended next step. Do not assume another medication will be prescribed or that a different visit will result in approval.
