Who may be eligible for sermorelin treatment?
Short answer
A licensed physician in your state decides whether sermorelin is appropriate after reviewing your health history, symptoms, and medications. Age, fatigue, or a desire to build muscle does not establish a medical need. Some people need lab testing or an in-person hormone evaluation before any treatment decision.
Sermorelin is not a routine treatment for everyone who feels tired or notices changes with age. A licensed physician in your state must review your medical history and decide whether treatment is appropriate. Your goals alone do not establish a hormone problem or a need for medication.
Tell the physician about diabetes, cancer, pituitary disease, head injuries, and prior brain surgery or radiation. Also share any medication allergies. If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, discuss this before treatment because safety information is limited. Some health conditions may make treatment unsuitable or require a specialist's evaluation.
Fatigue, reduced strength, and sleep problems can have causes unrelated to growth hormone. A physician may recommend testing for other conditions or an in-person exam. Diagnosing growth hormone deficiency often requires specialized testing; a single random growth hormone level is usually not enough. An online visit does not guarantee a prescription, and wellness use should not replace a careful evaluation of unexplained symptoms.
