Dark spot cream can cause dry skin, redness, peeling, itching, stinging, or burning. These effects can be more noticeable when starting treatment or using other irritating products. Tell your prescribing physician if symptoms persist or make daily use uncomfortable. Do not apply more cream than your label directs.
This formula contains hydrocortisone, a steroid. Prolonged or inappropriate use can cause skin thinning, visible small blood vessels, or acne-like bumps. Hydroquinone can rarely cause persistent blue-black darkening of the skin. Contact your physician promptly if treated areas become darker, develop unusual color changes, or show signs of infection.
