What should I do if I miss an Enclomiphene dose?
Short answer
Follow the missed-dose instructions on your Enclomiphene label or from your prescribing physician. If no instructions are listed, ask your pharmacist or physician what to do based on when you missed it. Do not take two capsules together or add an extra dose to catch up without their direction.
If you miss an Enclomiphene dose, first check your pharmacy label and any instructions from your prescribing physician. Follow those directions. If they do not explain what to do, contact the pharmacist or physician for advice based on the time you missed the dose and when your next dose is due.
Do not double your dose or take extra capsules to make up for a missed one unless your physician specifically directs you to do so. Taking more than prescribed may increase risk. Avoid moving several doses close together on your own.
When asking for advice, share your prescribed strength, your usual dosing time, and the time of your last dose. If you have missed several days, ask whether you should restart your usual schedule or need a treatment review first.
A phone reminder or a daily checklist may help prevent future missed doses. If you are missing doses because of side effects, cost, or trouble swallowing, let your care team know so you can discuss next steps.
