What should I do if I miss a dose of Oral weight kit?
Short answer
Follow the missed-dose instructions on your Oral weight kit label or ask your pharmacist or prescribing physician. Do not double your next dose or take extra capsules to catch up. If you have missed several doses, check with your physician before restarting because you may need a revised plan.
Your pharmacy label and prescribing physician’s instructions should guide what you do after a missed dose. If there are no clear instructions, contact your pharmacist or prescriber. Have the bottle ready so they can confirm the ingredients, strengths, and timing of your last dose.
Do not take two doses together or take an extra capsule to make up for a missed dose. Taking too much bupropion can raise the risk of a seizure. A combination capsule also contains the other ingredients, so an extra capsule increases all three medicines at once.
If you have missed several days, do not assume you should restart your usual schedule without checking. Tell your physician how long you have been off treatment and whether you have started any new medicines, especially opioids. They can give you a safe restart plan.
If you accidentally take more than prescribed, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 for prompt guidance. Call 911 for a seizure, trouble breathing, collapse, or loss of consciousness.
