What medicines or substances interact with Performance anxiety tablets?
Short answer
Performance anxiety propranolol tablets can interact with medicines that affect heart rate or blood pressure, some antidepressants, and other treatments. Alcohol can increase dizziness. Give your physician and pharmacist a full list of prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, and supplements before use. Do not stop other medicines on your own.
Propranolol can interact with other medicines, including some used for blood pressure, heart rhythm, depression, and migraines. Combining it with medicines that slow the heartbeat or lower blood pressure can increase the risk of dizziness, fainting, or a very slow pulse. Examples include verapamil, diltiazem, and other beta blockers.
Also tell your physician about insulin and other diabetes medicines. Propranolol can hide some warning signs of low blood sugar, such as a fast heartbeat. Asthma inhalers, decongestants, and certain pain relievers may also need review. Alcohol can add to dizziness and lightheadedness.
Share a complete list of everything you use, including eye drops, vitamins, herbs, and occasional medicines. Include doses and how often you take them. This is not a complete list of interactions, and spacing doses apart does not make every combination safe. Ask your physician or pharmacist before adding a new medicine. Do not stop a current treatment without advice.
