How do I put in and use my Oral appliance therapy mouthguard?
Short answer
Use Oral appliance therapy nightly as fitted by your Dentulu dentist, following your prescribing physician’s directions and the device label. Clean your teeth before placing it in your mouth. Seat it gently as shown during fitting. Do not force it into place or change its jaw setting on your own.
Use Oral appliance therapy exactly as your care team shows you. Follow the prescribing physician’s directions, the device label, and your Dentulu dentist’s fitting instructions. Before bed, brush your teeth and clean between them. Check the device for cracks, loose parts, or sharp edges before putting it in your mouth.
Place the device over your teeth using the method your dentist taught you. It should sit securely without being forced. Do not bite hard to push it into place unless the device instructions specifically tell you to do so. Wear it nightly on your prescribed schedule, and follow any separate instructions for a gradual adjustment period.
In the morning, remove it gently and clean it using the approved method. Ask your dentist what to do if your bite feels different after removal. Do not make your own repairs or reshape the device with heat. Contact your dentist if it no longer fits, repeatedly falls out, or causes lasting pain. Bring it to follow-up visits so the fit can be checked.
