What dose of Sermorelin should I use from the 9 mg vial?
Short answer
Use only the Sermorelin dose on your prescription label and follow your prescribing physician’s directions. The 9 mg strength is the total amount in the vial, not one injection. This page lists bedtime injections five nights a week, but your physician decides your dose, schedule, and injection volume.
Your prescribing physician and prescription label are the guides for your Sermorelin dose. A licensed physician in your state reviews your health history and decides whether treatment is appropriate. The typical schedule on this page is an injection under the skin at bedtime, five nights a week. Your own directions may differ.
The vial contains 9 mg of Sermorelin acetate in total. That does not tell you how much to inject. The amount for each injection depends on your prescribed dose and the final concentration of the medicine. Syringe markings alone do not tell you the drug dose.
Before your first injection, ask the pharmacy to confirm the exact syringe mark to use. Do not calculate a new dose, add extra doses, or change your weekly schedule on your own. If the label and instructions seem different, contact the pharmacy or physician before injecting.
Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient and are not FDA-approved.
