How should I take NAD+, and what if I miss a dose?
Short answer
Use NAD+ only at the dose, route, and schedule on your prescription. There is no established wellness dose that fits everyone. If you miss a dose, follow the pharmacy's written instructions or ask your pharmacist. Do not double a dose, change the route, or increase the amount on your own.
Your NAD+ instructions must match the exact product dispensed by the pharmacy. A licensed physician in your state decides whether treatment is appropriate and sets the prescription. Do not use an online dosing chart or another person's instructions to measure your dose.
For injections, the amount of medicine depends on both the concentration and the volume drawn into the syringe. Syringe markings alone do not tell you the amount of NAD+. Ask the pharmacist to explain the prescribed volume and demonstrate the correct technique before you begin. Never change the prescribed injection route.
For nasal sprays, follow directions for preparing the pump and using the prescribed number of sprays. Do not assume that each spray contains the same amount across different products. Contact the pharmacy if the device leaks, clogs, or does not work as described.
If you miss a dose, check the written instructions or contact the pharmacist. Do not double up. If you take more than prescribed, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 for guidance. Call 911 for severe symptoms.
