How do costs and insurance compare for compounded vs brand GLP-1 medications at Verra?
Short answer
Do not assume a compounded GLP-1 option always costs less than a brand. The current price is shown on the treatment page. Verra does not bill insurance. Your medication is charged only after physician approval. Visit fees are separate, non-refundable, and credited toward your first medication order within 30 days.
Compare the full cost of care, not just the medication price. Brand and compounded options can have different prices, and a compounded option is not always the lowest-cost choice. The current price is shown on the treatment page. Check which treatment and supplies the listed price covers before placing an order.
The online visit fee is $99, and the video visit fee is $149. The visit fee is not free and is non-refundable. It is credited toward your first medication order within 30 days. Online visits are included for members. Medication is charged only after a physician approves it.
Plan choices are monthly, a 3-month plan with 15% off billed monthly, or a 6-month plan with 25% off billed monthly. Review the available plan options on the treatment page rather than assuming every comparison uses the same billing schedule.
Verra does not bill insurance. HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses; check with your plan administrator. A price comparison does not replace medical review. A licensed physician in your state decides whether treatment is appropriate.
