At-home labs · FAQ

Do at-home labs have refills or automatic repeat orders?

Short answer

At-home labs are tests, so a repeat test is a new order rather than a medication refill. Check your purchase terms to see whether you are making a one-time purchase or agreeing to repeat orders. Do not assume that a medication plan also includes repeat lab testing.

A collection kit is intended for the test and sample described in its instructions. It is not a refillable medication product. If you need another test, confirm whether a new order, visit, and kit are required. Do not reuse collection supplies or use an old kit without checking its expiration and instructions.

Before checking out, look for terms about one-time purchases, repeat orders, and any automatic charges. Do not assume repeat testing is scheduled just because you have an ongoing medication plan. Likewise, do not assume that stopping a medication plan automatically cancels a separate lab order. Ask Verra to clarify any linked services.

If the lab cannot process your sample, a replacement collection is different from a planned repeat test. Ask whether a replacement kit is available, who arranges it, and whether there is an added charge. Keep your order details so you can identify the test when contacting Verra. The need for another test should be discussed separately with your clinician.
