Can NAD+ nasal spray interact with my medicines or supplements?
Short answer
Interactions with NAD+ nasal spray have not been well studied. Do not assume it is safe with every medicine or supplement. Give your prescribing physician a complete list, including other nasal sprays and NAD-related products. Ask your physician or pharmacist before adding, stopping, or combining any treatment.
There is limited clinical information about interactions with compounded NAD+ nasal spray. A lack of reported interactions does not prove that a combination is safe. Your physician needs to review your full medication list before deciding whether this product is appropriate.
Include prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, herbs, and supplements. Mention other nasal products, including allergy sprays, decongestants, and saline products. Also list NAD-related supplements or treatments, such as nicotinamide riboside, NMN, niacin, and NAD infusions or injections. Do not combine them based only on their names or marketing claims.
Ask whether any nasal products need to be spaced apart. There is no universal spacing rule established for this compounded spray. Your pharmacist can review the specific ingredients and provide instructions for your prescription.
Let your physician know whenever another clinician changes your treatment. Do not stop a needed medicine to make room for NAD+ nasal spray. If you notice new symptoms after combining products, contact your physician and describe what you took and when.
