Can NAD+ interact with medicines or supplements?
Short answer
Interactions with NAD+ injections and nasal sprays are not well studied. A lack of reported interactions does not prove that a combination is safe. Give your physician and pharmacist a full list of medicines and supplements, including other NAD-related products. Do not stop or change prescribed medicines on your own.
There is limited information about how NAD+ injections or nasal sprays interact with other treatments. This makes it hard to give a complete list of safe or unsafe combinations. Your physician and pharmacist need to review your specific medicines, supplements, and health conditions before you start.
Include prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, herbal products, and wellness injections. Mention niacin, nicotinamide, nicotinamide riboside, and NMN if you use them. These products are related to NAD+ pathways, but they are not interchangeable with prescribed NAD+. Combining them has not been shown to provide added wellness benefits. Results vary.
Also report medicines that affect bleeding if you are considering injections. Tell your clinician about other nasal medicines if a spray is being considered. These details can affect administration and safety even when a direct interaction with NAD+ is not established.
Do not stop an established treatment or space medicines apart based on a guess. Ask for a clear plan. Contact your prescribing clinician before adding a new medicine or supplement during NAD+ treatment.
