At-home labs · FAQ

Can I use insurance or HSA/FSA funds for at-home labs?

Short answer

Verra does not bill insurance. HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible at-home lab expenses, but eligibility depends on your plan and the purpose of the test. Check with your plan administrator before paying. Do not assume that every wellness panel or genetic test qualifies for reimbursement.

Verra does not bill insurance for its services. Review the current price on the treatment page and plan for payment without direct insurance billing by Verra. If you want to ask your insurer about reimbursement, confirm its rules in advance. An itemized receipt does not guarantee that your insurer will reimburse a purchase.

HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses. Check with your plan administrator about the specific test before paying, especially for genetic wellness testing or testing without a clear medical purpose. Requirements can differ, and your plan may ask for documentation. A successful card payment does not by itself confirm that an expense is eligible.

Ask Verra what receipt or purchase documentation is available. Keep records of the test name, visit, date, and payment. A lab test, medical visit, medication, and membership may be treated differently under your plan’s rules. If eligibility is uncertain, get guidance from the plan administrator rather than assuming all items on the page qualify.
