Can I get rosacea treatment through an online visit?
Short answer
An online visit may be suitable for reviewing facial rosacea, but it is not right for every case. A licensed physician in your state decides whether treatment is appropriate after reviewing your history and symptoms. Unclear rashes, eye symptoms, or thickened skin may require an in-person exam or specialist care.
Through Verra Health, a licensed physician in your state can review your symptoms and health history through an online or video visit. Clear photos can help show where redness, bumps, or visible blood vessels occur. Include details about flushing, burning, skin sensitivity, and how long symptoms have been present.
Share all prescription medicines, over-the-counter products, supplements, and allergies. Mention past treatments and any reactions. Tell the physician if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, since this can change which medicines are appropriate. Also report any eye symptoms or changes in the shape or thickness of your skin.
Not every facial rash is rosacea, and an online review may not provide enough information. Your physician may recommend an in-person skin exam or eye evaluation instead of prescribing. Verra is available in all 50 states and DC, though some states or medications require a video visit. A prescription is not guaranteed. If prescribed, treatment may help manage symptoms. Results vary. Medication is charged only after a physician approves.
