Mental health · FAQ
Can I choose an online or video visit for mental health care?
Short answer
Verra offers online and video visits for mental health care, but the available format depends on your state and medication. Some states or medications require video. A licensed physician in your state reviews either format and decides whether treatment is appropriate; choosing a format does not guarantee approval.
An online visit lets you provide health information for physician review without a live video conversation. A video visit includes a live discussion. Both formats involve review by a licensed physician in your state, who decides whether treatment is appropriate.
You may not always be able to choose either format. Some states or medications require video. Follow the visit options shown for your location and requested treatment. If you are unsure which option applies, ask Verra before submitting the visit.
The online visit fee is $99, and the video visit fee is $149. The visit fee is not free and is non-refundable. It is credited toward your first medication order within 30 days. Online visits are included for members of Verra+.
For either format, prepare your medication list, health history, and questions. For a video visit, choose a private place where you can speak clearly. Neither format guarantees a particular prescription. Medication is only charged after a physician approves treatment, and its current price is shown on the treatment page.
