Which products or medicines should I discuss before using Custom anti-aging cream?
Short answer
Tell your prescribing physician about all medicines, supplements, and skin products before using Custom anti-aging cream. Other retinoids, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, and harsh cleansers may increase irritation or need separate timing. Do not combine treatments on your own. Ask before waxing, chemical peels, or laser treatments on treated skin.
Give your prescribing physician a full list of your prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, supplements, and skin products. Include products used only occasionally, such as acne spot treatments, exfoliating pads, masks, and at-home peels. Mention any medicines that make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
Other retinoids, including retinol and adapalene, can add to irritation. Products with glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, alcohol, or abrasive particles may also make dryness and burning worse. Some combinations may be used with medical guidance, but timing and product choice matter. Ask your physician what to stop, what to keep, and whether products should be used at different times.
Tell your physician about planned waxing, chemical peels, microneedling, or laser treatment. Skin treated with tretinoin may be more easily irritated or injured by certain procedures. Do not decide on a pause or restart schedule yourself. Follow the prescription label, and check with your physician or pharmacist before adding a new treatment.
