Weight loss · FAQ
When should my weight loss plan be reviewed for progress?
Short answer
Your physician should set a review schedule based on the medicine, dose, and your health. Weight loss is usually assessed over months, not a few days. Results vary. Starting doses may focus on tolerability, so do not increase your dose or add treatment just because the scale has not changed.
Ask your physician when to check in and what signs of progress to track. A useful review may include weight trends, appetite, side effects, nutrition, and changes in weight-related health conditions. Weight loss is usually assessed over months rather than day to day. Results vary. Short-term weight changes can also reflect fluid shifts or constipation.
Some GLP-1 programs begin at a low dose and increase gradually according to the product and prescription. This can mean that early treatment focuses on how well you tolerate the medicine. Your schedule should not be copied from another patient or a social media post. Oral medicines may have a different review timeline.
If progress is limited, contact your care team rather than changing the dose yourself. The physician can review whether you are taking the medicine correctly and whether the plan remains appropriate. There is no established timeline for weight loss from GLP-1 microdosing. Evidence for that approach is limited, and results vary.
