What medicines or products can interact with Arousal cream for women?
Short answer
Have your physician review all medicines, supplements, and genital products before using this cream. Sildenafil can interact dangerously with nitrates, including nitroglycerin and recreational “poppers,” and with riociguat. Topical use does not remove interaction concerns. Do not combine it with other sexual health medicines unless your prescriber approves.
Give your physician and pharmacist a complete list of prescription medicines, over-the-counter drugs, supplements, and recreational substances. Include creams, lubricants, and other products used in the same area. The interaction risk depends in part on how much medicine is absorbed, which may vary with a compounded topical product.
Sildenafil has dangerous interactions with nitrate medicines, such as nitroglycerin, and recreational nitrites called “poppers.” It also interacts with riociguat. Do not use this cream with those substances. Blood pressure medicines, alpha blockers, and other sildenafil or similar medicines also need careful review.
Aminophylline adds other interaction concerns. Tell your physician if you take theophylline, stimulant medicines, or medicines that affect drug breakdown. Ask whether you should limit caffeine or alcohol. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own to use this cream.
A licensed physician in your state decides whether treatment is appropriate. Ask for a new interaction check whenever a medicine or supplement changes, even after you have started using the cream.
