Hair · FAQ
What changes can I realistically expect from hair regrowth treatment?
Short answer
Hair treatment may reduce shedding or improve coverage, but it cannot promise a full head of hair or restore every area of loss. Results vary. The cause and duration of hair loss matter. Your physician can help set goals that fit your diagnosis and the medicine prescribed.
Possible goals include slowing further hair loss, reducing shedding, or improving hair density. Results vary. Some people see a visible change, while others have little benefit. Keeping existing hair may be a useful goal even when there is no dramatic change in appearance.
Your response depends on the cause of hair loss, how long it has been present, and whether the follicles can still grow hair. Scarring hair loss and other conditions may need care outside a standard regrowth plan. No product can guarantee that a bald area will fill in.
Use photos taken under similar conditions to discuss progress with your physician. Hair length, styling, lighting, and wetness can all change how full your hair looks. Try not to judge your treatment from day-to-day changes alone.
If progress is limited, your physician may review the diagnosis, how you use the medication, or whether another option is appropriate. Do not add products or increase doses on your own. More medication does not guarantee more growth and may increase risks.
