Hair · FAQ
Can I use insurance or HSA/FSA funds for hair treatment?
Short answer
Verra does not bill insurance for hair visits or medications. HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses, but eligibility depends on your plan and the expense. Check with your plan administrator before paying. A prescription alone does not guarantee that a hair treatment qualifies for HSA/FSA use.
Verra does not bill insurance. Plan to pay directly for your visit and any approved medication order. The current medication price is shown on the treatment page, so you can review the cost before choosing a hair treatment plan.
HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses. Hair and lash expenses can raise coverage questions, especially when a plan considers the purpose cosmetic. Your plan administrator can explain which expenses qualify and what documentation is needed.
Do not assume that having a prescription automatically makes an expense eligible. Also, successful card payment does not by itself prove that a charge meets your plan's rules. Check eligibility before relying on HSA/FSA funds.
Ask what receipts or other records your administrator requires and keep the payment records available to you. If you want to explore reimbursement from an insurer, contact that insurer directly about its rules. Verra's direct-pay model does not promise insurance reimbursement, and a physician's approval does not establish coverage under your plan.
