Can I use insurance or an HSA/FSA card for prescription skin care?

Short answer

Verra does not bill insurance for skin visits or medications. HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses, but eligibility depends on your plan and the purpose of treatment. Check with your plan administrator before paying, especially for anti-aging care or other services that may be considered cosmetic.

Verra does not bill insurance. Review the listed visit fee and the current medication price on the treatment page before ordering. Do not assume your health plan will reimburse a visit or a custom cream because a physician prescribed it. Any possible reimbursement is subject to your insurer's rules.

HSA/FSA cards may be usable for eligible expenses. Your plan administrator can explain which costs qualify and what records you need. The reason for treatment matters. Care for a medical condition and care mainly for appearance may be treated differently under your plan. A prescription alone does not guarantee that an expense is eligible.

Before paying, ask whether the specific visit and medication qualify, whether supporting documentation is required, and how to handle a declined card. Keep receipts and any records your administrator requests. Verra cannot decide your plan's eligibility rules. If you are unsure about a Custom anti-aging cream, Acne formula, Dark spot cream, or Rosacea cream expense, confirm its status with your plan administrator first.
