Weight loss · FAQ
Can I switch from another weight-loss treatment to Personalized Tirzepatide?
Short answer
A licensed physician in your state must decide whether switching to Personalized Tirzepatide is appropriate. Share your current medicine, dose, last dose date, and side effects. There is no universal dose conversion. Do not overlap treatments or reuse an old injection volume unless your new prescription specifically directs it.
Switching to Personalized Tirzepatide requires a review by a licensed physician in your state. Tell the physician which treatment you currently use, its dose and concentration, when you last took it, and why you want to switch. Include any side effects and other medicines you take.
There is no universal dose conversion between different weight-loss medicines. Even if you already use tirzepatide, the concentration and injection volume may differ from your new prescription. Do not carry over syringe units or use an old dosing chart. Follow the new prescription label and ask the pharmacist to confirm the amount to inject.
Your physician decides when to stop the prior treatment and when to start the new one. Do not overlap medicines on your own. Combining tirzepatide products or adding a GLP-1 medicine can create safety concerns.
Personalized Tirzepatide contains tirzepatide with niacinamide. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient and are not FDA-approved. Switching does not guarantee better tolerability or weight loss. Results vary.
