Can I stop or cancel Lumyn genetic wellness after ordering?
Short answer
Lumyn genetic wellness is a one-time test, so there is no medicine to taper or refill plan to stop. If you no longer want testing, contact Verra before collecting or mailing your sample. Order cancellation, refunds, and requests about a sample already at the lab depend on the applicable policies.
Lumyn genetic wellness does not involve taking a medicine each day. You do not need to taper anything when deciding not to complete the test. It is a one-time purchase, not a refill plan. Stopping the test does not mean you should stop any medicine you already take.
If you have not collected or mailed your sample, contact Verra promptly to ask about your options. Whether an order can be canceled or refunded may depend on its status and the terms shown at purchase. The visit fee is non-refundable. Do not assume that an unused kit qualifies for a refund.
If the lab already has your sample, ask whether processing can still be stopped. Also ask what happens to stored samples and genetic data. Canceling an order is not necessarily the same as requesting sample destruction or data deletion.
If you have already received a report, you can discuss with your physician whether to use the information. There is no need to act on it without clinical guidance.
