Skin · FAQ
Can I combine these skin formulas with each other or other treatments?
Short answer
Do not combine custom skin formulas or add other active treatments without a physician's review. Products may contain overlapping ingredients or increase side effects when used together. Share your full routine, including acne products, retinol, acids, and planned procedures. Your physician can advise on a suitable schedule when combination treatment is appropriate.
Using more than one treatment is not always better. Custom anti-aging cream, Acne formula, Dark spot cream, and Rosacea cream may contain ingredients that overlap or do not fit well together. The product name is not enough to judge a combination. Your physician needs the ingredient lists and directions for each item.
Include store-bought retinol, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, scrubs, and prescription products from other clinicians. Also mention waxing, peels, lasers, and other planned skin procedures. Some combinations or procedures can increase dryness, burning, or skin injury. Applying products at different times does not automatically remove those risks.
A licensed physician in your state can decide whether a combined routine is appropriate. If it is, ask for clear instructions about which products to use, where to apply them, and when to pause them. Do not mix prescriptions together in your hand or container unless specifically directed. Ask how to choose a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen that fit your prescribed routine.
